Preliminary Hearing in Barcelona on CCAN dispute
Motive asks the Spanish Court to enforce its right to acquire CCAN's 32.3% interest in Motive Television S.L.
London 6 February 2013:
Motive Television PLC (AIM: MTV.LN; "Motive", "the Company"), the London-based television software and services company, announces that a preliminary hearing was held at the First Instance Court of Barcelona on 5 February 2013 with respect to the Company's claim to seek enforcement of its Call Option in respect of the 32.3% interest ("the shares") in Motive Television, S.L. currently owned by CCAN 2005 Inversiones Societarias, S.C.R., S.A. ("CCAN") for the nominal value of the shares (approximately €70,116).
This is further to the announcements by the Company on 17 December 2012 (at which the High Court stayed the UK action filed by CCAN) and 24 July 2012 (when Motive filed in the Spanish Court the petition to enforce its right to acquire ownership of the shares).
At the hearing yesterday the trial date was set for 26 June 2013.
The Company has been advised that it has a strong case by its legal counsels in Spain and in England.
