Aberdeen Asset Management Plc Mothercare plc announces that, in accordance with the Disclosure andTransparency Rules, it has been advised by Aberdeen Asset Management PLC thatits holding in the company has crossed down through the 11% and 10% threshold asa result of Mothercare plc's increase in issued share capital as announced on19th June 2007. The number of shares held by Aberdeen Asset Management plc has increased by75,000 shares and now comprises 8,439,186 ordinary Mothercare plc 50p sharesequivalent to 9.67% of the voting rights AGEON UK Group of Companies. Mothercare plc also announces that the AEGON UK Group of Companies (consistingof AEGON Asset Management UK plc, AEGON Investment Management UK Ltd and AEGONICVC) has advised the Company of a change in its notifiable interest in thevoting rights of Mothercare plc. The notifiable interest now comprises 6,317,733 or (7.25%) of the voting rights,being a direct holding of 6,246,429 and an indirect holding of 71,304 (previously a total of 6,490,725 or 8.85% of the company's then voting rights of73,302,714 comprising then a direct holding of 6,419,421 and an indirect holdingof 71,304 ).
