Appointment of Finance Director

Moss Bros Group Plc, the UK's No.1 branded suit specialist, is delighted to announce the appointment of Robin Piggott as Group Finance Director, with effect from 28th June 2010. Robin will take over the role from Bryan Portman, who has been interim CFO since April 2010. There will be a short handover period between the two.

Robin is an experienced listed company Finance Director, with considerable retail sector experience. He has a broad commercial background in multi-site, retail businesses, with a strong skill set in corporate finance. His most recent role was at Alexon Group plc, which he joined in 1987, holding a variety of different financial and commercial roles and ultimately becoming the Group Finance Director in 1995. He played a significant role in Alexon's merger and acquisition strategy, restructured the finance team and established a strong set of financial and management controls across the business.

Prior to Robin's time at Alexon, he held senior financial roles at Granada Group plc and Geest Industries plc.
