Mirriad board strengthened by appointment of experienced independent Non-Executive Director

Mirriad Advertising plc ('Mirriad'), the established computer vision and AI platform company, today announces the retirement of Roger Faxon and the appointment of Bob Head to the Board as an independent Non-executive Director.

On 30th April Mirriad announced that John Pearson would replace Roger as Non-executive Chairman. As part of the planned succession, Roger will now retire from the Board with immediate effect after a long and productive association with the Company.

Bob Head will be formally appointed as an independent Non-executive Director immediately following the Company's AGM which will be held on 13th June 2019. Bob has a wealth of experience acting as a CEO and Non-executive Director to a variety of technology and digital businesses. He will Chair Mirriad's Audit and Remuneration Committees from appointment.

John Pearson, Chairman of Mirriad, said:

Biography of Bob Head

Robert Michael Head is a qualified Chartered Accountant, originally training with Coopers & Lybrand, where he was a senior manager, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers. He has had a long, varied and successful career initially focused on the impact of technology on financial services including tenure at Prudential where he was the joint founder of egg.com and the Co-operative Bank plc where he was the first Chief Executive of award-winning online bank smile.co.uk.

Bob's career continued with nine years spent in various roles with Old Mutual including a period as Group HR & Strategy Director. Bob has also spent time in South Africa where he was a member of the Executive Committee of the South African Revenue Service before a serving short period as Interim Chief Financial Officer at South African Airways.
