Yoomedia PLC05 January 2007 YooMedia plc / Index: AIM / Epic: YOO / Sector: Media 5 January 2007 YooMedia plc ("YooMedia" or "the Company") YOOMEDIA MOVES CASHLESS PAYMENTS CAPABILITY INTO PARKING SECTOR YooMedia plc, the AIM-traded interactive media, gaming and mobile entertainmentCompany has extended its capability in the mobile payments sector with a deal toprovide multi-channel cashless payments via IVR (interactive voice response) andweb-based solutions for the payment of penalty charge notices. The Company is running a trial in Dun Laoghaire in the Republic of Ireland forCentral Parking System (CPS), which works with local authorities throughout theUK and Ireland as an outsourced provider of parking solutions, to trial the IVRsystem. This will provide motorists with the opportunity to telephone a numberon the reverse of their penalty charge notice and authorise payment of thecharge via a credit or debit card. The system can also be used to pay multiplepenalty charge notices at one time. Once proven in trial, Central Parking System (CPS) plans to roll-out theYooMedia system to its other local authority customers in the UK and Ireland. The YooMedia system includes a specially developed payments interface able tolink IVR payment transactions directly to CPS's penalty charge notice databaseto verify charges and reconcile payments received. The web based paymentsoption, to follow shortly, similarly enables motorists to pay penalty chargenotices online. The integrated payment processing element of both options willbe handled by YooMedia's partner for cashless payment processing in this sector,Pay Channel Ltd. The web system will be available to CPS's Central Parking System's Call Centreoperators to enable them to process penalty charge notice payments made bycallers. The payments interface can also be accessed by local authorities whoalready operate an existing penalty charge notice payments application allowingmotorists payments received in this way to be reconciled against the CPSdatabase and processed via Pay Channel. Bryn Jenkins, Business Development Director, Services, YooMedia said: "Both theIVR and web-based systems are robust and suited to any scenario where payment bymobile (or landline) phone or online may be desirable. We are already talkingwith other organisations, both in the parking sector and elsewhere, who areinterested in the benefits that our cashless payment solutions can provide." * * ENDS * * For further information visit www.yoomedia.com or contact: Neil MacDonald YooMedia plc Tel: 020 7462 0870 Mark Percy Seymour Pierce Limited Tel: 020 7107 8000 Isabel Crossley St Brides Media & Finance Ltd Tel: 020 7242 4477 Howard Robinson/ Early Doors Tel: 0207 754 5560Joe Palmer Barry Duncan Central Parking System.
