Mears Group PLC11 March 2008 11 March 2008 Mears Group PLC ("Mears Group" or "the Group" or "the Company") Board Changes Andrew Smith Appointed Finance Director The Board of Mears Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Smithto Finance Director. Andrew joined the Group in 1999 and was appointed to theBoard in March 2007 as Executive Director. The Company announced with its interim results on 21 August 2007 that DavidRobertson, who has been Finance Director since July 1997, would be stepping downfrom the Board in March 2008 and accordingly he has today resigned as a Directorof the Company. Commenting, Bob Holt, Chairman of Mears Group, said: "Andrew's move into the Finance Director position has been carried out veryefficiently and I am delighted to be working with him as we continue to grow theCompany.
