Appointment of John Carter as Employee Representative Non-Executive Director
McCarthy & Stone plc (the "Group"), the UK's leading developer and manager of retirement communities, is pleased to announce that John Carter, an existing Non-Executive Director of the Group, has been appointed to the newly formed role of Employee Representative Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.
This appointment is an early adoption of changes to the UK Corporate Governance Code that will apply to the Group during the Group's reporting period from 1 November 2019 to 31 October 2020 relating to the need to consider employee voice at board level. The Group considers that the appointment of a designated non-executive director is the most suitable mechanism to achieve this. |
