Director Appointment

McColl's Retail Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Bird (McEwan) to the Board of Directors as Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect.

Karen joined the Company in 2016 as Colleague Director, and was subsequently promoted to Colleague and Operations Director in January 2020. Prior to joining the Company, Karen spent over 20 years with Tesco in both HR and Operational roles.

Jonathan Miller, Chief Executive of McColl's, said: "We are very pleased to welcome Karen to the Board. Her appointment recognises the valuable contribution she has made, and continues to make, to the business. Her extensive experience in convenience and food retail, and her detailed understanding of the Company, will bring much knowledge and value to the Board."

There is no information to be disclosed under the requirements of Listing Rule 9.6.13.

Full details of the remuneration arrangements, which are in line with the shareholder approved Remuneration Policy, will be disclosed in the next Directors' Remuneration Report.
