Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Luceco plc, the manufacturer and distributor of high quality and innovative wiring accessories, LED lighting and portable power products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Will Hoy as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 September 2019.

Will is Chief Financial Officer of GKN Aerospace, the UK-headquartered global aerospace technology leader. 

Will has held a number of senior finance roles in a career with GKN that has spanned over 20 years, including nine years as Head of Corporate Finance in which he oversaw GKN's M&A activities. 

Prior to joining GKN, Will qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG and worked in its Corporate Finance department.

Will has been appointed as a member of the Group's Audit Committee.

Commenting on the appointment, Giles Brand, Non-Executive Chairman, said:

"The Directors are delighted to welcome Will to the Board. He brings significant additional experience of working in a large, international engineering environment that will be of particular value to the Group as it delivers its growth strategy."

This announcement is made pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.11R. No disclosures are required pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R in respect of Will Hoy's appointment.

The range focuses largely on professionally installed products with an emphasis on performance and quality. The Group is able to support these products by offering customers access to its in-house installation design team. 

Masterplug is the market leading brand in the UK Portable Power category. It is sold largely to consumers through retail distribution and online. Its products are offered in a wide range of global electrical standards and they are sold in every territory in which the Group operates.
