LPA Group PLC ("LPA" or "the Group"), the LED lighting and electro-mechanical system manufacturer and distributor, is pleased to announce the appointment of Len Porter as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Len Porter was chief executive of the Rail Safety and Standards Board from 2003 until March 2014. During this period he was a member of the cross-industry Technical Strategy Steering Group and chaired several committees including that responsible for the comprehensive Sustainable Rail Programme.

Len has experience of small business growth having successfully grown his own company, Marine Offshore Management from start up to a respected international business, which was acquired by Lloyd's Register.

Len has specific skills in technical innovation, knowledge based decision making, asset management and sustainable development. He is 62 and has worked in the rail, oil & gas and marine sectors during a successful executive career.

Len Porter holds 25,000 ordinary shares in LPA, representing approximately 0.2% of the Group's issued share capital.
