Appointment of Sir Richard Greenbury as Director

The Board of Ila (AIM: ILA), is pleased to announce the appointment of Sir Richard Greenbury as a non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect.

Sir Richard, aged 73, is highly experienced, both in the retail sector and with public sector companies. He started his career as a Junior Management Trainee at Marks & Spencer in 1953 and progressed to become Chief Executive in 1988 and later Executive Chairman, positions he held until his resignation in 1998.

Sir Richard's previous roles as a non-executive director include ICI plc, Zeneca plc when it was demerged from ICI, Lloyds TSB Bank plc, British Gas Corporation, Metal Box plc, Game plc and Unifi Inc. Additionally, Sir Richard has served as a Member of the UK Advisory Board for the British American Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Israel Britain Business Council and Chairman of a CBI committee to review executive remuneration and boardroom best practice.

Currently, Sir Richard is a Member of the Supervisory Board of Royal Philips Electronics NV. He will retire from his role there at the end of March 2010, having completed 12 years service, the maximum allowed by Dutch law for a Supervisory Board Member as being independent
