KMG EP Share Buy Back Programme. 

Announcement on the results of the trading

Astana, 27 April 2009. JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("the Company" or "KMG EP") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Programme commenced on 24 November, 2008, on 24 April 2009 the Company acquired 64,500 of its global depositary receipts ("GDRs") (LSE:KMG) on the London Stock Exchange at an average price of $17.4283 per GDR and 2,100 of its ordinary shares (KASE:RDGZ) on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange at an average price of KZT 15,290.00 each.

Since the start of the Share Buy Back Programme, the Company has purchased in aggregate 4,693,697 GDRs and 89,377 ordinary shares.
