FurtherΒ Trading update for the year endingΒ 31 DecemberΒ 2008
THURSDAY, 5 March 2009 --Β Further to the announcement made onΒ 2Β DecemberΒ 2008, the board ofΒ Engel East Europe N.V. ('Engel' or 'the Company')Β now expects to reportΒ aΒ small operating loss for the year ended 31 December 2008. In addition, the directors expect to report anΒ increased loss before taxationΒ compared withΒ the previous year largely as a result of foreign exchange losses arising from the depreciation of local Eastern European currencies against the Euro and increased financial expenses arising from a higher net debtΒ positionΒ during the year.
The Company expects to make a full announcement ofΒ its preliminaryΒ results for the year ended 31 December 2008 shortly.Β
