Voting Rights and Share Capital Update
In conformity with the Transparency Directive Johnston Press plc advises that as at 1 June 2015 the issued ordinary share capital is 105,877,777 ordinary shares of 1p each with each ordinary share having the right to one vote.
Johnston Press plc does not hold any ordinary shares in Treasury.
Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the ordinary shares of Johnston Press plc is 105,877,777.
The above figure (105,877,777) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Johnston Press plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
Holders of the Company's 756,000 £1 13.75% Cumulative Preference Shares and 349,600 £1 13.75% "A" Cumulative Preference shares (together "Preference Shares") will also have the right to attend and vote at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 3 June 2015 with each Preference Share having the right to one vote. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Preference Shares of Johnston Press plc is 1,105,600.
