In conformity with the Transparency Directive Johnston Press plc advises that as at 31 July 2013 the issued capital is 667,703,759 ordinary shares of 10p each.

Johnston Press plc does not hold any ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Johnston Press plc is 667,703,759.

The above figure (667,703,759) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Johnston Press plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
