JKX OIL & GAS PLC ("JKX" or the "Company")
The Board of JKX announces that it has received a notice from Eclairs Group Limited ("Eclairs") seeking to requisition an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company at which to propose the removal of Dr Paul Davies and Mr Peter Dixon as directors of the Company and to appoint three of its own nominees, namely Mr Borys Epshtein, Mr Stanislav Yudin and Mr Oleksandr Ratskevych as new directors.
The Board has received legal advice that the notice is not valid and is writing to Eclairs in this regard. It is also requesting information about Eclairs' proposed nominee directors and their relationship with Eclairs, its shareholder(s) or any other shareholders in JKX. Eclairs is wholly owned by Mr Igor Kolomoisky and holds 27.4 per cent of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
