The Board of JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Khozem Merchant as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 3rd February 2022.
Khozem Merchant brings over thirty years of experience from the media and business sectors, operating at the most senior levels in India as well as in the UK. He launched and leads Brunswick's India practice, specialising in Indian macro, corporate and public affairs, delivering senior-level advice to Indian clients around critical business issues. Previously, he served as President at Pearson India, rolling out their education services strategy across the country. Prior to that, he spent 19 years as a journalist with the Financial Times, before becoming the Director of Business Development in India.
Mr Merchant does not own any shares in the Company.
No further information is to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13(2) - (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules for Mr Merchant.
