Director update

J D Wetherspoon PLC ('J D Wetherspoon' or 'the Company'), notes today's announcement from Hill & Smith Holdings PLC that Mark Reckitt, a non-executive director of J D Wetherspoon, has been appointed a non-executive director of Hill & Smith Holdings PLC.

Mark Reckitt has informed the Board of J D Wetherspoon of his intention to resign as a director of J D Wetherspoon with effect from the 26th May 2016.

The chairman of J D Wetherspoon, Tim Martin, said:

"I would like to thank Mark for his contribution to J D Wetherspoon over the years he has been a director. On behalf of the Board, I wish him well for the future."
