Board update

 JD Wetherspoon plc ("Wetherspoon" or "the Company") announces the following board updates.

 Debra van Gene, non-executive director, has indicated her willingness to remain a director beyond the company's November 2021 board meeting, previously announced as the date she intended to stand down.

 Ben Thorne, non-executive director, has been appointed senior independent director with immediate effect.
