 Finding a Genuine Alternative

Jade Road Investments Limited (AIM: JADE), the London quoted company focused on seeking the best risk-adjusted returns globally, announced on April 5, 2023, a new investment into Heirloom Investment Fund SPC - Heirloom Fixed Return Fund SP ("the Heirloom Fund"). The investment was made in support of JADE's updated Investment Policy to expand beyond its previous focus on Asian investments to seek the best risk-adjusted returns globally. The updated Policy was approved by an overwhelming number of shareholders at the Company's recent AGM.

JADE is pleased to share a new article published by the Fund's Manager, Heirloom Investment Management LLC ("HIM"). The article highlights the importance and dynamics of genuine diversification in this volatile market, and how alternative investing can reduce volatility and improve returns in investor portfolios. The article also explores the difference between traditional and genuine alternatives and important investor considerations when evaluating alternative opportunities, as well as how investors can access genuine alternatives. It serves as a reminder and reinforcement of the rationale behind JADE's decision to update its Investment Policy to better serve its shareholders, and to invest in the Fund.

Its investments are also in regions that JADE does not currently have exposure to, thus adding diversification to JADE's portfolio. It is another step in JADE's transformation to providing shareholders with the best risk-adjusted global returns."
