Inmarsat appoints new non-executive director
4 May 2017: Inmarsat (LSE: ISAT.L), the leading provider of global mobile satellite communications services, today announced that Warren Finegold, will join the Board of Inmarsat on 1 August 2017 as a non-Executive Director and become a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees.
Warren was a member of the Vodafone Group Executive Committee for over 10 years, and for most of that time he was Group Strategy and Business Development Director. Before that, Warren was a Managing Director of UBS Investment Bank where he was Head of the Technology Team in Europe; previously he was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs International in New York and London focusing on mergers and acquisitions and raising capital.
Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Sukawaty, Chairman said: "We are delighted to welcome Warren to our Board. He has a wealth of diverse relevant experience - combining a knowledge of mobility and technology markets plus significant experience in investment banking. His recent strategic and global business development experience will bring additional depth to our Board work and we look forward to his contribution."
Warren remains an adviser to the Vodafone Group and is a member of the Supervisory Boards of Vodafone, Ziggo Group Holding BV and Avast Holding BV; he is also a member of the Advisory Board of Curation Corp.
Warren holds an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from London Business School.
Warren has interest in 30,000 ordinary shares of Inmarsat plc.
There is no other information required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
