Large European Automotive Manufacturer extends Ubisense Smart Factory System installation with a further >$1m contract

Cambridge, UK - Ubisense Group plc ("Ubisense" or the "Company") (LSE:UBI), a market leader in real time location intelligence solutions, is pleased to announce that a large European automotive manufacturer has chosen to extend their initial Smart Factory System deployment after going into production with the system earlier in July. The order, valued at approximately $1 million, is part of a global framework agreement with the manufacturer and will extend the system from their assembly line to the finishing facility.

The Ubisense Smart Factory System has already been integrated into the manufacturer's Manufacturing Execution System (MES), making the business case compelling to extend the system across further areas of their facility, including the finishing process area, both indoor and outdoor, facilitating the location of thousands of vehicles.

The Smart Factory System brings many benefits to manufacturers by providing visibility and control across the assembly and finishing areas, for example enabling manufacturers to reduce costs by eliminating non-value added search processes and by reducing work in progress, resulting in significantly reduced vehicle production times.
