IQE PLC07 January 2008 IQE plc ("the Company") DIRECTORS' DEALINGS IQE plc announces that 52,806 new ordinary shares have been issued to GambitCorporate Finance in settlement of the fees of the Non-Executive Chairman DrGodfrey Ainsworth for October to December 2007. Following this issue the totalnumber of ordinary shares in issue is 431,005,072. The shares will be allottedand issued as detailed below: Shareholder name Shares issued Average priceGodfrey H H Ainsworth 52,806 19.47p Following this issue, the Non-Executive Chairman of the Company Dr GodfreyAinsworth's total beneficial interest in the Company is 3,784,420 sharesrepresenting 0.88% of the issued share capital. Dr Godfrey Ainsworth holds thisinterest in IQE plc as an equity partner of Gambit Corporate Finance in respectof 2,502,621 shares and as sole beneficial owner of the balance of 1,281,799shares. Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the shares to beadmitted to AIM. Admission is expected to take place on Thursday 10 January2008.
