Appointment of Chairman

Dublin/London, 7 March 2018: Independent News & Media PLC (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Murdoch MacLennan as non-executive Chairman of the Company effective today, having previously been appointed as a Director on 1 March 2018.

This announcement is made in accordance with Rule 6.6.5 (1) of the Listing Rules of the Irish Stock Exchange and Rule 9.6.11 (1) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
