Imagination Technologies Group PLC08 April 2008 8 April 2008 Imagination Technologies Group plc Imagination Technologies Licenses third POWERVR SGX Graphics Core to Renesas Imagination Technologies Group plc (LSE: IMG; "Imagination") a leader inSystem-on-Chip Intellectual Property ("SoC IP") reports that Renesas TechnologyCorp. ("Renesas"), one of the world's leading semiconductor system solutionsproviders, has licensed a third member of Imagination's POWERVR(R) SGX graphicscore family under a multiple-use license arrangement. The core will beintegrated into future Renesas SoCs for mobile applications. This announcement extends the highly successful and growing relationship betweenthe two companies. Renesas was a lead-licensee of Imagination's POWERVR MBX andPOWERVR MBX Lite graphics cores which it has successfully deployed inautomotive, consumer and mobile devices, shipping now in volume. Renesassubsequently licensed two members of the POWERVR SGX graphics core family, inMarch and October 2006.
