Voting rights and capital
In conformity with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, the Company advises the market that as at 1 July 2008 its capital consists of 649,645,755 ordinary shares with voting rights.
The increase results from the allotment of shares to meet the exercise of options under the Company's employee share option schemes.
Therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company is 649,645,755.
The above figure of 649,645,755 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, ICAP plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
