Hygea VCT plc01 May 2008 For Immediate Release 1 May 2008 Hygea VCT plc ("Hygea" or "the Company") Issue of Equity and Total Voting Rights The directors of Hygea VCT plc (the "Company") are pleased to announce anallotment on 30 April 2008 of 49,800 ordinary shares of 50 pence each("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 50 pence each pursuant to the 10% Top Up Offerannounced on 19 March 2008. Application will be made for the Ordinary Shares to be admitted to the OfficialList of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange'smarket for listed securities and dealings are expected to commence within the next ten days. The Offer has been extended from 30 April 2008 to 30 May 2008 unless previouslyextended or fully subscribed earlier. In conformity with the provisions of the FSA's Disclosure and TransparencyRules, as at 30 April 2008, the Company issued capital consists of 7,680,191Ordinary Shares. The Company does not hold any shares in treasury.
