Hydro International PLC04 December 2007 HYDRO INTERNATIONAL PLC APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER Hydro International, the provider of innovative products for the control andtreatment of water, announces the appointment, with effect from 4 December 2007,of Chris Williams as Chief Operating Officer. This is a newly created boardposition. Chris is currently Managing Director of Hydro International (EU) and amain board director of Hydro International Plc. In his new capacity Chris will be responsible for the day to day control of theGroup's European and USA business divisions. This appointment will enable SteveHides, Chief Executive Officer, to focus on the strategic growth of the businessand in particular on Hydro's plans for export expansion and businessacquisitions. Chris has more than 20 years experience in the civil engineering and watersector and is a member of the government's Water Sector Advisory Group which ismade up of key industry professionals to advise government on an internationalstrategy for the water sector. He is a board member of British Water, the tradeassociation representing the water industry supply chain and also establishedthe Sustainable Drainage (SUDS) Group within British Water to act as a voice forthe industry within SUDS development.
