Heavitree Brewery PLC07 March 2008 The Heavitree Brewery PLC Trood LaneMatfordExeterDevonEX2 8YP Date: 7 March 2008 Contact: R J Glanville - Director and Company Secretary- Tel: 01392 217733 A Borrelli - Nominated Advisor - Tel: 0207 408 4090 Purchase of Own Shares and TVR Update The Heavitree Brewery PLC, in line with its stated policy of returning value toshareholders, has, on 6 March 2008 purchased the following of its own shares forcancellation: 103,563 Ordinary Shares of 5p at £11.05 per share representing 4.93% of thetotal number of Ordinary Shares in issue. 73,583 'A' Limited Voting Ordinary Shares of 5p at £10.25 per share representing2.19% of the total number of 'A' Limited Voting Ordinary Shares in issue. For the purposes of the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure andTransparency Rules ("DTR"), the Company notifies the market that following thecancellation of the above shares the Company's share capital will comprise 1,994,699 Ordinary Shares of 5p which carry one vote for every £1 in nominalvalue: And 3,282,478 'A' Limited Voting Ordinary Shares of 5p which carry one vote forevery £10 in nominal value. Heavitree does not have any shares in treasury and does not have any other classof shares with voting rights. Consequently, following cancellation, the number of Total Voting Rights will be116,146 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for thecalculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify theirinterest in, or a change to their interest in Heavitree under the DTR.
