Notification of Dealings in the Company's shares by Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMRs") and connected persons
The Company announces the following dealings by PDMRs in the Company's ordinary shares of 1p each ("Shares").
On 31 July 2008 the Company granted the following conditional awards ("Awards") under the Hornby plc Performance Share Plan.

The Awards will vest on 31 July 2011, but only to the extent that certain performance conditions based on the Company's average annual earnings per share growth and relative total shareholder return over three financial years commencing with the current financial year are met.
Each Award is granted on the basis that the awardholder will receive a benefit in Shares determined by reference to the value of the dividends that would have been paid on the Shares under the Award in respect of dividend record dates occurring between 31 July 2008 and the date of vesting.
No consideration is payable on the grant or vesting of the Awards.
The above notifications are intended to satisfy the Company's obligations under Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.4.
