Indian Restaurants Group Plc ("IRGP" or "the Company") announces that it has appointed Alfredo Villa (aged 48) as non-executive director to the Board with immediate effect. Alfredo Villa is CEO of Brainspark PLC which, as previously announced, holds 29.9 per. cent. of the ordinary share capital of IRGP. Alfredo Villa does not beneficially owns any shares in IRGP.
Alfredo Villa has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry. He co-founded Givigest Fiduciaria SA, a Swiss financial services company and SCF SA, a financial consulting firm offering asset management services. Both entities were sold in 2001. Since 2000 he has been a director and partner of Gabbrielli & Associati S.p.A., a financial consulting firm based in Milan. Alfredo is also a board member of Brainspark Plc, Mediapolis SA (an investee company of Brainspark) and Moggle Inc. He is a "Chartered Technical Analyst" (CTA) qualified by the US Market Technicians Association in New York as well as an authorised Financial & Commercial Fiduciary in the Swiss Canton of Ticino. Alfredo holds a masters degree in economics from the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
