Hochschild Mining plc ("the Company")

In accordance with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, the Company advises that as at 31 October 2009 its capital consists of 338,085,226 Ordinary Shares of 25p each ("Shares") with voting rights. The Company does not hold any Shares in treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 338,085,226.

The above figure (338,085,226) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Hochschild Mining plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
