HALMA p.l.c.TREASURY SHARE TRANSACTION

Halma p.l.c. announces that it purchased 246,000 of its ordinary shares on 18 January 2011 through J.P. Morgan Cazenove at 341.8517p per share. The purchased shares will not be subject to cancellation and will all be held as treasury shares in order to satisfy awards under the Halma p.l.c. Performance Share Plan 2005.
Following the above transaction, Halma p.l.c. holds 1,547,368 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 376,678,727.
