Helical Bar PLC04 December 2007 4 December 2007 HELICAL BAR PLC ("Helical Bar "or "the Company") NOTIFICATION OF INTERESTS OF DIRECTORS AND CONNECTED PARTIES The Company was informed today that the following transactions had taken place: 1. Performance Share Plan Awards On 4 December 2007 the first shares awarded under the terms of the Helical Barplc Performance Share Plan 2004 were made available to directors and employeesof the Company. These shares were originally allocated on 18 August 2004 andhaving met their performance criteria are available to be taken by theaward-holders. Helical Bar plc Employee Share Ownership Plan Trust ("ESOP") On 4 December 2007, the Company's ESOP holding of ordinary 1p shares reducedfrom 5,075,226 (5.3%) shares to 3,570,868 (3.7%) following the vesting of shareawards under the Performance Share Plan and the transfer of shares to directors'and employees. 3.
