Foxconn Technology Group, a subsidiary of Hon Hai Technology Group (TWSE: 2317), has signed the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Accelerating the Advancement of New Business Projects" with the Henan Provincial Government. The signing ceremony took place in Zhengzhou. Under the agreement, the Henan Provincial Government will support Foxconn in establishing a new business headquarters in Zhengzhou. Foxconn will leverage its core competencies in smart manufacturing, technologies, and supply chain resources to expedite the development of electric vehicles, energy storage batteries, digital health, and robotics industries. This initiative focuses on Henan, aiming to build a global high-end manufacturing supply chain and a strategic emerging industry ecosystem. Foxconn plans to invest in constructing a new operation headquarter building in Zhengzhou, which will serve as the hub for its new business operations. The first phase of the project, located in Zhengdong New District, spans approximately 700 acres, with a total investment of about RMB 1 billion.

The main facilities will include the operating center, R&D center and engineering center, strategic industry development center, strategic industry financial platform, industry research institute and key talent center, marketing center, and supply chain management center. These seven centers will provide industrial resources, technological capabilities, and other essential support for Foxconn's 3+3 strategy in mainland China.

Additionally, to facilitate the implementation of the 3+3 strategy, Foxconn will focus on establishing an electric vehicle pilot production center and solid-state battery projects at the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Comprehensive Experimental Zone.
