HALFORDS GROUP PLC: PURCHASE OF SHARES

Halfords Group PLC announces that on 4th October 2012 Matt Davies, CEO, purchased 164,056 of its ordinary shares at a price of 302.22 pence per share, pursuant to a trading plan entered into with Investec Bank plc. The highest price paid was 303.5 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 301.5 pence per share.

Following the above purchase, Matt Davies's resultant holding is now 164,056 representing 0.08% of the total voting rights.
