Notification of Non-Executive Director Changes

Halfords Group plc (the "Company") announces the following appointment and changes to the constitution of its Board and Committees.

Appointment

Halfords Group plc announces the appointment of Jill Caseberry as Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 March 2019. 

Jill brings extensive leadership experience from senior sales and marketing roles in consumer goods businesses including Premier Foods and Pepsico. Jill co-founded a sales and marketing consultancy firm in 2011, advising blue chip companies on their strategic positioning, brand development and category management. Jill is currently a Non-Executive Director of Northgate plc, C&C plc, Bellway plc and St Austell Brewery Company Limited.

Changes

Claudia Arney will step down from the Board with effect from 1 March 2019. Claudia has been a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees since joining the Board on 25 January 2011.

Jill Caseberry will succeed Claudia as Chair of the Remuneration Committee and will become a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees upon joining the Board.

"Claudia is a highly regarded non-executive director and we have benefited greatly from her considerable efforts since she joined the board in 2011 initially as a director and more recently in her additional role as Chair of the Remuneration Committee. While it is a shame when a director's term of appointment comes to an end, we are grateful to Claudia for the work she has done and we wish her every success in the future. Moving forward, we are delighted to welcome Jill to the Board. We are sure that she will contribute greatly to the ongoing success of Halfords"
