High Grade Drilling Results and a New Vein at Patricia
Highlights:
·; High grade zinc, silver and lead results continue to be returned from Patricia
·; Holes PTDD101 and PTDD073 indicate new vein south of Carlos Vein
·; Hole PTDD091 identifies a further high grade zinc zone
·; Hole PTDD101 identifies multiple high grade silver and lead zones
Herencia Resources is pleased to provide further high grade drill assay results in relation to its Paguanta Project (Herencia 70% owner) in northern Chile.
PTDD091 - on 12 October 2011 Herencia reported a high grade intersection of 5.0m at 10.2% zinc, 4.0% lead and 248g/t silver from 88m in hole PTDD091 (Cathedral Vein). We can now confirm a further zone of high grade mineralisation located immediately below this intersection with the return of further assays from this hole:
·; 8.0m at 8.0% zinc, 0.5% lead and 45g/t silver from 112m in PTDD091 including
2.0m at 16.3% zinc, 0.7% lead and 75g/t silver
PTDD101 - this hole intersected multiple mineralised zones in the shallower parts of the hole (as anticipated) and has additionally intersected multiple mineralised intersections including 4.2m at 3.2% zinc, 1.5% lead and 65g/t silver from 259.5m. This coincides with the previously reported 20m of mineralisation in PTDD073 which included 6.0m at 5.9% zinc, 2.6% lead and 144g/t silver from 253m. Both holes indicate the presence of a new vein located approximately 50m south of the Carlos Vein.
In addition to the above positive results, further assays have also been received from the following holes exhibiting high zinc, silver and lead grades (including silver grades of up to 568g/t) as follows:
·; 2.0m at 5.3% lead, 174g/t silver and 0.60g/t gold from 10.0m in PTDD101
·; 3.5m at 9.2% lead and 384g/t silver from 38.0m in PTDD101
·; 1.2m at 2.4% zinc, 11.0% lead and 568g/t silver from 45.7m in PTDD101
·; 2.5m at 4.3% zinc, 8.5% lead and 372g/t silver from 119.0m in PTDD101
·; 2.0m at 6.3% zinc and 89g/t silver from 127.5m in PTDD094
·; 1.7m at 6.8% zinc and 39g/t silver from 19.2m in PTDD090A
·; 1.5m at 6.8% zinc, 3.0% lead and 162g/t silver from 186.5m in PTDD089
·; 4.0m at 5.2% zinc, 1.9% lead and 94g/t silver from 64.5m in PTDD068
All significant intersections returned to date from this current drilling programme are presented in Appendix 1. It is anticipated all assay work from the current program will be completed by end-March 2012.
Herencia's Managing Director Michael Bohm commented "Positive drill results continue to flow from the 2011 drilling program at Patricia including high silver and lead grades close to surface, which may have positive implications for mine grade early in the mine schedule.
Additionally, the definition of a new vein south of Carlos Vein would support our views regarding the potential for future mine life extensions at Patricia, particularly given the open nature of multiple mineralised veins both along strike and down dip.
The next period will be exciting for Herencia as the Company continues to receive the Patricia assay results, the first Guamanga assay results and the commencement of a deep drilling program at Guamanga".
