Final Results from Drilling Program at Paguanta

(Paguanta Zinc-Lead-Silver-Gold Project in Northern Chile)

Highlights:

·; Drilling program completed on time and within budget

·; Assay results received from the final holes in the drilling program

·; Continued high grades and broad zones of mineralisation identified

·; Both Cathedral and New veins extended

·; Veins remain open in all directions

·; DMS sample shipped to Mintek in South Africa

Herencia Resources Plc (AIM: HER) is pleased to advise that assay results have been received from the final holes (PTDD051 to PTDD058) in the current diamond drill program at the Company's Paguanta Project in northern Chile.

Hole PTDD058 was drilled to test the high grade area intersected previously in PTDD048 (4m at 10.6% zinc, 0.8% lead, 93g/t silver and 0.25g/t gold) and PTDD037 (5m @ 8.2% zinc, 0.2% lead, 25g/t silver and 0.52g/t gold). This mineralisation appears to be either part of, or immediately adjacent to, the Cathedral vein. Results of PTDD058 include a significant broad zone of mineralisation with a high grade core as follows:

·; 17.6m at 4.6% zinc, 1.3% lead, 66g/t silver and 0.18g/t gold from 193m

including 6.4m at 10.8% zinc, 3% lead, 150g/t silver and 0.42g/t gold

The high grade mineralisation now encompassed by holes PTDD037, PTDD048 and PTDD058 covers in excess of 100m in strike length and remains open in most directions.

Hole PTDD056 was drilled to provide core sample to Mintek of South Africa, who have been engaged to conduct Heavy Liquid Separation test work to determine if Paguanta ore types are amenable to the Dense Media Separation ("DMS") process (AIM announcement 18 June 2010). PTDD056 was targeted to intersect Cathedral vein between holes PTDD041 and PTDD043 and successfully returned a broad mineralisation intersection, also including a high grade core, of:

·; 15m at 3.4% zinc, 1.6% lead, 77g/t silver and 0.09g/t gold from 173m

including 3m at 10% zinc, 3.5% lead, 180g/t silver and 0.23g/t gold

Four +25kg samples have now arrived at Mintek enabling test work to commence, with results expected in late September.

Holes PTDD053 to PTDD055 were drilled to test 'up-dip' of the recently discovered New vein. No significant intersections were returned from PTDD053 or PTDD055 however PTDD054 returned a high grade intersection of:

·; 0.5m at 10.8% zinc, 3.7% lead, 260g/t silver and 0.33g/t gold from 199m

Whilst narrow, it is positive that very high grades have been returned from this vein which may increase in width to the east as seen in hole PTDD049 (4.4m @ 6.4% zinc, 2.1% lead, 274g/t silver and 0.19g/t gold) located approximately 300 metres to the east.

Holes PTDD051 and PTDD052 were drilled to test the Cathedral vein following the earlier high grade intersection in PTDD043 (7.50m at 7.1% zinc, 7.3% lead, 324g/t silver and 0.20g/t gold from 189.5m including 4.95m at 9.5% zinc, 10.6% lead, 467g/t silver and 0.22g/t gold). Both holes successfully intersected mineralisation with PTDD052 extending Cathedral vein down-dip approximately 30 metres, returning a broad intersection of:

·; 12.7m at 2.4% zinc, 2.0% lead, 100g/t silver and 0.12g/t gold from 199m

including 1.3m @ 5.7 % zinc, 2.2% lead, 123g/t silver and 0.11g/t gold

The Company is pleased to have successfully completed this drilling program at the Paguanta Project. A total of 24 diamond drill holes were drilled for 5,728m, all achieved within budget and with numerous high grade zinc, silver and lead intersections being returned as detailed in Table 1. All assay results will be incorporated into the upcoming Mineral Resource Estimate update expected in September 2010.

Commenting on the 2010 drill program, Managing Director Michael Bohm stated:

"This program has been a great success for the Company as we met our objectives of finding high grade extensions to the Cathedral vein and confirming the existence of 'New' vein. It is also pleasing to see high silver and lead grades, over and above the excellent zinc grades, and noting the continued intersection of gold in most holes.

We remain on track to deliver an updated Mineral Resource Estimate in September with a decision on whether to proceed to a Feasibility Study expected to be made in October/November this year.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our team in Chile for their efforts in completing the drilling on time and on budget and to congratulate them on the success of the 2010 program."
