("Herencia" or the "Company")Continued Copper & Gold hits at Guamanga Project
Herencia Resources is pleased to provide further drill results from the initial shallow diamond drilling program at the Guamanga Copper-Gold Project (Herencia earning 51%), located to the north of Copiapo in northern Chile.
Assay results have now been returned from the remaining seven holes (of the eleven holes drilled in December 2011) with the majority of holes drilled in the December program intersecting copper-gold mineralisation. Best results included:
·; 5.0m at 1.4% copper, 0.38g/t gold, 168ppm cobalt and 136ppm molybdenum from 13m in drill hole GUADD009 including 2.0m at 2.6% copper , 0.63g/t gold, 172ppm cobalt and 189ppm molybdenum
·; 13.0m at 1.0% copper, 0.4g/t gold from 12m in GUADD007 including 4m at 1.6% copper, 0.67g/t gold and 135ppm cobalt
·; 14.0m at 0.7% copper, 0.37g/t gold from 63m in GUADD007 including 2m at 1.2% copper, 0.55g/t gold and 129ppm cobalt
In addition to the positive copper-gold intersections, broad widths of cobalt and molybdenum mineralisation were also returned.
Best Cobalt intersections included:
·; 4m at 143ppm from 26m in GUADD002
·; 11m at 133ppm from 5m in GUADD005
·; 14m at 207ppm from 28 m in GUADD006
·; 4m at 135ppm from 15 m in GUADD007
·; 36m at 124ppm from 1m in GUADD008
·; 17m at 121ppm from 65 m in GUADD008
·; 7m at 148ppm from 13 m GUADD009
Best Molybdenum intersections included:
·; 9m at 419ppm from 4m in GUADD007
·; 35m at 379ppm from 2m including 6m at 1310ppm in GUADD009
·; 20m at 416ppm from 1m in GUADD011
All significant intersections returned to date are presented in Appendix 1.
Herencia's Managing Director Michael Bohm commented "Six intersections ranging from 5m to 15m have been returned grading between 0.7% to 1.7% copper and up to 1.07g/t gold. In addition, positive molybdenum and cobalt results have been returned in a majority of holes. We are very encouraged with the results from this our initial drill program, as the mineralisation outcrops in a topographical position that would lend itself to open pit mining and appears to be open in a number of directions".
