HELLENIC CARRIERS NOTIFIES OF INTERESTS OF DIRECTORS OR OTHER PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Hellenic Carriers Limited, ("Hellenic" or the "Company") (AIM: HCL), an international provider of marine transportation services for dry bulk cargoes, was notified that on 13th May, 2008, the Chief Financial Officer of the Company, Mr. Dimitris Sfakianakis, purchased  3,000 common shares of US$0.001 each in the Company at GBP 2.24 per share. Following this purchase, Mr. Sfakianakis has a beneficial interest of 3,000 common shares of US$0.001 each in the Company representing 0.01% of the issued share capital of the Company.
