Board change
The Gym Group, the nationwide operator of 230 low cost, high quality, 24/7 no contract gyms, announces that David Kelly, Non-Executive Director, has notified the Board that he does not intend to seek re-election to the Board at the Company's next Annual General Meeting, scheduled for 11 May 2023. David will therefore leave the Board with effect from 11 May 2023.
David joined the Board in July 2016 and has previously served as Chair of the Remuneration Committee and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee. David is also a member of the Nomination and Sustainability Committees.
John Treharne, Chair of The Gym Group Board, commented:
"On behalf of the Board, I'd like to place on record our appreciation for David's outstanding efforts over the past seven years. I am enormously grateful for David's support, commitment and expertise during his time as a member of the Board, both in my capacity as CEO until 2018 and now as Executive Chair, and wish David the very best for the future."
