GruppeM Investments PLC14 December 2006 14 December 2006 GruppeM Investments PLC (LSE: GRP, 'GruppeM' or the 'Company') Appointment of Non-Executive Director The Directors of GruppeM, the AIM-listed luxury motor retailing group in China,are pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Kent as a Non-ExecutiveDirector of the Company with immediate effect. Peter Humphreys Kent CMG, aged 69, brings a wealth of international tradeexpertise to the Company. Peter Kent has been a Private Sector Adviser to HMGovernment on trade and related issues with Greater China for over 20 years. Heis Chairman of the Taiwan Advisers Group and founded the Taiwan Britain BusinessCouncil 8 years ago. He has been on the Board of the Taiwan Trade Centre(TAITRA) in London for 16 years and was recently invited to join the AdvisoryBoard for Chinese Studies at SOAS, the University of London. He is also amember of the Singapore and Malaysian Britain Business Councils. Peter Kent has held directorships with Arthur Guinness & Sons, the Sterling DrugGroup of America, the Steiner America Corporation and, from 1983-1997, with MoreO'Ferrall plc (subsequently, More Group plc) and certain of its subsidiarycompanies, now Clear Channel Communications. For several years, Peter Kent served on the CBI International Committeerepresenting Greater China interests. In 2000 he was made a Companion of theOrder of St Michael & St George, for services to Britain-Taiwan Trade Relations. In recent years he has also been the recipient of both Taiwan's Foreign Serviceand Economic medals. He was a founder member of the British Chamber in Taipei. Peter Kent is non-executive President of the Intelligent Building Group, a tradeassociation founded to promote green/intelligent construction worldwide. TheGroup is very active in China, Taiwan and elsewhere in the Far East. No further information falls to be disclosed under the AIM Rules.
