Great Portland Estates PLC21 November 2007 Great Portland Estates plc - Employee Benefit Trust Great Portland Estates plc ("the Company") Purchase of shares by the Great Portland Estates P.L.C. LTIP Employee ShareTrust (the "Trust") The Board of Great Portland Estates plc announces that the Trust purchased184,156 ordinary shares of 12.5p each ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company (0.1% of the issued share capital) at a cost of 462.9366p per share on 21 November 2007. The Company's shares held by the Trust are used to satisfy awards in theCompany's Long-Term Incentive Plan and Share Matching Plan. The Executive Directors are potential beneficiaries of the Trust and are deemedto be interested in the shares held by the Trust. Following this transaction the Trust retains an interest in 758,027 OrdinaryShares, representing 0.42% of the Company's total issued ordinary share capital.
