GEONG International Limited (AIM: GNG), the AIM listed, Beijing based provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software and solutions, today announce that it has signed a contract with Shanghai General Motors (SGM) worth US$880,000.
The contract, which was won in partnership with Oracle China, is to deliver the fourth phase of SGM's Dealer Management System (DMS) which is based upon GEONG PortalAgeTM infrastructure that GEONG originally designed and installed in 2005.
Phase four of the DMS programme will see the system expanded into a further 400 SGM car dealerships throughout Shanghai and follows the successful completion of the first three phases of the DMS programme by GEONG over the last 3 years.
Under the terms of the contract GEONG will also provide SGM with ongoing product and maintenance support for its DMS system until 31 May 2008.
Commenting on the contract win, Wang Weidong, Chief Executive Officer of GEONG, said: "Being involved in the fourth phase of Shanghai General Motors' DMS programme is testament to the scalable and adaptable nature of GEONG's PortalAge products and solutions and the continued high levels of quality and service we pride ourselves in providing.
"By partnering with the likes of Oracle we are able to provide quality solutions and services to large organisations, whilst retaining the innovativeness and flexibility that being a much smaller company brings."
