Board Change
Gama Aviation Plc announces that by mutual agreement, David Stickland, Group CFO will be stepping down from the Board with immediate effect to pursue other opportunities. Patrick Wan has been appointed as Head of Finance pending the recruitment of David's successor. The Board will undertake a formal process to find the most suitable candidate. David will remain with the Company for the period necessary to effect an orderly handover of responsibilities to Patrick.
Patrick Wan, a qualified accountant, has over 30 years of finance experience, including within the aircraft maintenance industry where he served as CFO of Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company Limited, one of the largest maintenance and repair organisations in China. He also previously worked in practice for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Patrick spent a large part of his career working with Hutchison in Asia and is therefore very well known to the Company's Chairman, Simon To. With Patrick's experience with Hutchison's culture of strong financial controls and governance, the Board is confident that Patrick is ideally suited to build on the good foundations laid by David.
