EGM results

Global Ports Investments PLC ("Global Ports" or the "Company", together with its subsidiaries and joint ventures, the "Group" or the "Global Ports Group"; LSE ticker: GLPR) today announces that the Company held its Extraordinary General Meeting of the Members under the chairmanship of Mr. Konstantin Shirokov, Non-Executive Director.

The EGM was held at KIBC, Office 201, Profiti Ilia Str, 4, Germasogeia, CY-4046, Limassol, Cyprus on 14 February 2017 at 10-00am (Cyprus time) and had a quorum with 422,713,415 ordinary shares of the Company, which constitutes 100% of the issued ordinary shares of the Company entitled to participate in this meeting and vote on the matters of the agenda.

The EGM adopted the following resolutions:

1. To approve the resignation of Mr. Tiemen Meester as the director of the Company with immediate effect and to terminate his authorities as director of the Company with immediate effect.

2. To elect Mr. Peder Sondergaard as a director of the Company until the next annual general meeting of shareholders of the Company with no remuneration

Mr. Peder Sondergaard

Mr. Sondergaard was appointed Chief Portfolio Officer of APM Terminals in January 2017. He is responsible for all joint venture terminals and for future port investments and divestments, as well as overall portfolio management.

Mr. Sondergaard had previously served as the Head of APM Terminals' Asia, Middle East, Africa and North Asian port and terminal operations.

Mr. Sondergaard has been with the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group for more than 25 years. Previously holding the position of APM Terminals' Senior Vice President and Head of New Terminals, he was named A.P. Moller-Maersk Group Senior Vice President in May 2007. Initially serving at sea, Mr. Sondergaard subsequently gained extensive experience from a variety of shore-based managerial positions within the Group in the USA, Taiwan, China and Denmark.

Mr. Sondergaard has completed a Master's Certificate, as well as several Management Courses at the London Business School, Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, IMD in Switzerland and the Harvard Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Global Ports Investments PLC is the leading operator of container terminals in the Russian market as measured by container throughput.

Global Ports' terminals are located in the Baltic and Far East Basins, key regions for foreign trade cargo flows. Global Ports operates or has joint venture interests in five container terminals in Russia (Petrolesport, First Container Terminal, Ust-Luga Container Terminal[1] and Moby Dik[2] in the Russian Baltics, and Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company in the Russian Far East) and two container terminals in Finland[3] (Multi-Link Terminals in Helsinki and Kotka). Global Ports' major shareholders are Transportation Investments Holding Limited (operating under the brand name of N-Trans), one of the largest private transportation and infrastructure groups in Russia (30.75%), and APM Terminals B.V. (30.75%), whose core expertise is the design, construction, management and operation of ports, terminals and inland services. APM Terminals operates a global terminal network of 75 ports and 140 inland services facilities, giving the company a global presence in 69 countries. 20.5% of Global Ports shares are traded in the form of global depositary receipts listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange (LSE ticker: GLPR).
