MJ Gleeson plc (the "Group") announces that Elaine Bailey will join the Board as Non-Executive Director with effect from 1st March 2021.

Elaine has extensive experience in housing, engineering, construction and government services gained from a varied career across the private, public, regulated and not-for-profit sectors.

Elaine was Chief Executive of Hyde Housing Group (2014-2019), a London based Housing Association with 50,000 properties and a development programme approaching 1,500 units per annum. Previously she held a number of senior management roles at Serco (2000-2013) and at HM Prison Service (1996-2000). Elaine, a Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers, spent her initial career in a number of engineering consultancies.

Elaine has a number of non-executive roles including Residential Secure Income plc (since 2020), McCarthy & Stone (Shared Ownership) Limited (since 2020) and at the Health and Safety Executive (since 2021).

It is expected that Elaine will become Chair of the Sustainability Committee and a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.
