Grupo Clarin S.A.04 April 2008 GRUPO CLARIN S.A. announces the exercise of an option to acquire a 50% interest in Compania Inversora en Medios de Comunicacion S.A. On April 3rd 2008, Grupo Clarin S.A. ("The Company") notified the Buenos AiresStock Exchange and the Argentine Securities Commission that The Company and itssubsidiaries, Arte Grafico Editorial Argentino S.A. ("AGEA") and Artes GraficasRioplatense S.A. ("AGR") exercised an option to purchase 50% of the capitalstock of Compania Inversora en Medios de Comunicacion S.A. ("CIMECO") from S.A.La Nacion. The Company already held, directly and indirectly, a 50% interest inCIMECO. The total price paid by Grupo Clarin and its subsidiaries for the acquired stockwas approximately US$61,576,000. CIMECO publishes newspapers and magazines and owns a controlling interest inComercializadora de Medios del Interior S.A., in the newspapers La Voz delInterior in the province of Cordoba and Diario Los Andes in the province ofMendoza, and a minority interest (12%) in Papel Prensa S.A.I.C.F. y de M.
