Global Petroleum Limited - AIM: GBP, ASX: GBP - the oil and gas exploration company presently focused on emerging plays in Africa and the Mediterranean, announces that Peter Dighton, one of the Company's two Australian resident Non-Executive Directors, has resigned from the Board due to the increasing demands of his other business interests, to which Mr Dighton wishes to devote more time. Mr Dighton will leave the Board with effect from 25 January 2016. The Company has commenced a process to recruit a replacement Non-Executive Director resident in Australia.
Global's Chairman, John van der Welle commented: "On behalf of the Board, I'd like to thank Peter for his valuable contribution as a Director over the last four years, and previously in the years 2003 to 2008, and to wish him well with his other business interests."
